Halloween

Halloween was pretty fun this year, but I must admit I am really excited for next year when Lexi can enjoy it more. This year she was a little confused as to why she was getting dressed up and why everyone at my work was all over her. hahah but she was so adorable they couldn't help themselves.

We went to a pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins. I made Lexi sit in the dirt by the pumpkins to prove they were bigger than her. She is getting so chubby I was worried we wouldn't find pumpkins big enough! But we had success. Then after picking out pumpkins we went and picked up her costume. I unfortunately waited to long to get the costume I wanted, cause I wanted to see how big she would be, and so the costume I wanted was all gone. Therefore Jer picked out a Giraffe and we bought it then went to Walmart. While at Walmart I picked out a pink leopard. It was really cute and much better than the Giraffe so she was a pink Leopard this year. Next year Jer gets to choose the costume.

One night after work we carved the pumpkins. We only made it through Lexi's and then she was done with that activity. I kept putting her hands in the pumpkin goo and she would squeeze it. Tootsie really liked carving pumpkins cause she loves eating the pumpkin goo and seeds. After we put Lexi to bed Jer and I carved our pumpkins. My pumpkin was just a stupid face but Jer had a work of art. He actually carved a dragon it was really cool. Lexi's pumpkin looked just like her little round eyes triangle nose and a mouth with a tongue sticking out. hahaaha.

Halloween day Jeremy went a picked up Lexi from daycare and brought her to my work to show her off. She was a little confused and we woke her up from a nap so that night she was a little cranky. We didn't have many trick or treaters this year :(. So we didn't hand out much candy, that is one of my favorite things to do on Halloween. I love seeing all the kids' costumes and scaring them with the fog machine as they go to step up on the porch. Hopefully next year is better.

Work has been pretty busy and a new adjustment so I haven't been able to write as much. I appoloize. I will try harder!

Back to work/ First day of Daycare

So today sadly I had to return to work. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I was doing okay after I dropped her off, her new teacher was so excited to meet her. I think she will really like the daycare we have picked out. But then as I was filing out some paperwork I heard her start to fuss (I could tell her cry over the other kids talking, playing and crying WOW!) and then as I was about to leave she started to cry. I knew it wasn't because I was leaving cause I don't think she understands that yet but I still wanted to run over and comfort her. I wanted to go show them how to rock and hold her.... but then I realized they are professionals and I am being a big baby. So I went out to my car and drove to work.

Work was busy and pretty much kept my mind off of thinking about her 100% of the time but I missed her like crazy. Jer picked her up around 2:30 and then brought her by my work so I could see her for a minute. She was such a happy baby. He said she seemed happy when he picked her up which made me feel better. We will see how tomorrow goes. I heard it gets better and I heard it gets worse. We shall see.

Here is Lexi chillin in her swing on Sunday.

Slacker

Okay so I have been completely slacking off and haven't posted for a week. Sorry! I have been spending as much time with Lexi as possible. She has been such a happy baby the past couple of days. I love when she is happy baby. Last weekend we were going to go to a pumpkin patch and pick out pumpkins but it was too cold. This weekend will be warm however my Grandparents from Iowa are coming in town today. YAY!! I am so excited for them to see Alexis. I think they will just love her and her chubby cheeks.

Lexi is becoming such a good little night time sleeper. She is sleeping for 8 1/2 hours now. I wish I could say I got 8 1/2 hours of sleep but of course not. After putting her to bed I try to get some of the house picked up or catch up on my TV shows and even finally get to spend some time with Jeremy. Lexi is now sleeping in her crib in her room. Its great! The first night I was completely paranoid and didn't get much sleep, I kept dreaming of horrible things. But the next night I was fine.

Well today we are off to Lexi's 2 month checkup. I can't believe how old she is already and how big she has gotten. :( I am excited to see how much she weighs and how long she is now. I will let everyone know how it goes.
Jeremy thought it was funny to put his shirt on Lexi's head!
Lexi chillin in her swing. I love that look! ahhah

Oct 9, 2008

Its been a few days since I have written anything. Sorry everybody. Life has been a little crazy. My grandma Nada is in the hospital right now with a broken hip. She had surgery today and I believe is doing okay.

Last Saturday I went to a friends babyshower. Here is a picture of Lexi with my friend Jaime and her little girl Rilee. Rilee really wanted Lexi to have her blankee cause it was cold. How cute!

After we got home from the baby shower we played for a while. Lexi was such a happy baby!

I know my dad will get all upset when he sees these photos because I have a headband on Lexi and he hates them. Last week my mom watched Lexi while I had a dentist appt and she was only at their house for 2 seconds before my dad took her handband off. hahaha

This was taken on Sunday when we went bummin around. She is getting better about being in her carseat as long as she isn't in there to long. Doesn't she just look adorable. At her doctor's appt on Monday she weighed 12.14 pounds. My little chunk-a-munk! hahaha I love her cheeks.

Work

So sadly I have to return to work in just two short weeks! :( I am not excited about it at all. I would much rather stay home with Lexi all day but it is necessary for me to work and help bring home the bacon. Yesterday was a crazy and busy day which left me and Lexi both pretty tired. Lexi did however sleep for 7 hours last night. YAY!!! Soon she will be a big girl and in her own room. We figure its easier to keep her in her bassinet in our room until she sleeps through the night. Unfortunitly Tootsie must have ate some cat food at my moms cause she had to go outside three times last night. If it isn't one kid its the other hahahha. But Tootsie was in such a good mood yesterday cause she got to go play with her brother Chewy. She loves her brother Chewy. My mom finally got to see the happy baby I have been teling her about. She didn't believe me cause every time we go to grandma's house she becomes a little brat. I think she has also started to learn that if she starts getting fussy or cries people hand her back to mom. She is a smart one.

I have been watching the mail all day because I am suppose to be getting some clothes for Lexi. Thanks to my Auntie Jill I had a great idea a week ago. She gave me a box of clothes for Lexi when she came out in May. Last week was going through Lexi's clothes and realized I could really use another box of clothes and then it hit me that Ebay would probably have some. Sure enough I found several auctions that had a lot of clothes for sale. I won one that ended up being 80 cents per item of clothing. I love Ebay!

I haven't got her pictures uploaded to the computer for the last couple of days. So her is one taken a couple of weeks ago when I came home from Bunco.

This was down in Colorado, when we went to see Jeremy's dad.

Projects

So I decided on Sunday I didn't have enough going on (ya right) and needed to start two projects. hahaha not one but two at the same time. One of them is getting my yard picked up since it was a horrible mess with weeds everywhere. Well at least get the front yard done. The back would take a few months I am sure... its like a jungle back there. The second project was rearrange my kitchen with the help of my new hutch. So with both of those projects and Lexi the past couple days have been exhausting. but my kitchen is done and I really like it. The only problem is it takes longer to put away the dishes cause I keep trying to put them in their original spot. And the front yard is not done but looks so much better all ready. Next summer I am going to try to keep up on it. Who knows, maybe I will even plant some flowers!

Lexi seems to be feeling alot better. She was so good last night and slept for 6 hours. YAY! She loves being outside as long as she isn't in the sun. The sun seems to piss her off. But she likes to be in the shade and look around. New things to look at I am sure. She has been a pretty happy baby the past couple of days. I love when she smiles!

Weekend

So yesterday was a very long day. Jeremy worked until one. Once he went off work we went grocery shopping to stock up on some goodies. (yummy....) When we got done with that we loaded up the camper trailer to take to Heber for the winter. We then went to my mom and dad's house for dinner and to see my cousin Andy who is out from Iowa for a few days to try and find a job.

Dinner was great and it was nice to see my family. I got a few pictures of my dad with Lexi since I only had one. I need to get more of my mom with Lexi and of lyndsey with Lexi. I meant to last night but didn't. We got home late and we were all pretty tired.

Today I decided that I have no cupboard space and could really use a pantry (not that I can do anything about that) so instead after talking to my mom decided that I would go get a corner hutch cupboard thing. However corner ones are hard to find in my price range of cheap but durable. So instead I just went with a square one. Got it on clearance at Kmart because they are having a closing store everything must go sale. (perfect timing) Jeremy is putting it together for me right now. It is nice looking but doesn't really match my kitchen. But nothing really goes together in my kitchen so it works for us. One day I will have a really nice kitchen.....

I got a good pic of Lexi smiling today. I can't believe how big she is getting. And how fast she changes.

More Pictures

Since I am sure everyone wants to see more pictures than read hahah here are some of our family pics and Lexi's pics.

I think that is my favorite pic of her. But it so hard to tell; they are all way cute.

09-26-2008 Family Pictures

Sept. 26, 2008

On Sept 12 Jer, Lexi and I went to do family pictures. They were a lot of fun. We got done around 8:30 P.M. Afterwards we went and had pizza with Jeremy's brother TJ and his wife Bridgette. But we kept it short cause I was exhausted. I got the pictures in the mail today and they are so cute. I have to laugh though cause the lady who did our pictures spelled Lexi's name wrong. So I have to call her and have her send me a new DVD (her name is on the front) and a new CD with the pictures that have her name on it. Other than that they are all perfect. I kind of wish Jeremy had smiled with his teeth more often and I of course can pick myself to pieces but they are cute so I am happy.

Lexi is doing better today. She still seems to be tired but not like yesterday. Last night she got really mad about something and cried (more like screamed) for a good 15 minutes but we finally got her settled down and then put her to bed for the night. Sometimes I think she just gets really tired but doesn't know how to put herself to sleep or calm herself when she gets worked up.

Tonight I am going to go to a movie with my friend Lani. I am really exited. Jer is going to watch Lexi and hopefully she is a good girl for him. I am so glad he is a good dad and will watch her and let me go have some fun adult time. We love him.

09-25-2008 First Day

Sept. 25, 2008
Well this is the first day of my blog. I decided to create a blog because then others (such as my family in Iowa) can check on how Lexi and I are doing and see pictures. Plus its a way for me to remember all these great moments as well.

Alexis Jade Marsh is now 6 weeks and 2 days old. I think she might be getting a cold. She seems very tired and cranky today. She might have a tummy ache (she gets those alot) But she might just be tired, cause we have had a busy week. I can't wait until she can tell me what is wrong so I don't feel like I have no idea what I am doing.... Anyway, Lexi has started to smile when you talk to her. I love when she smiles. She loves to lay on the counter top while I empty or load the dishwasher. She also LOVES to lay on the dryer while it is running. Of course she is spoiled rotten and only lays there for about 10-15 minutes before she gets bored looking at things and wants me to pick up her. hahaha I am a sucker when she starts crying. However, one thing I have held my ground on is I make her sleep in her bed at night. This is easy now cause she can't do much about it but cry herself to sleep, but I am hoping she will get used to sleeping by herself and not want to sleep in our bed. For the past week she has been sleeping for about 5 hours straight when I put her to bed. Then after that only two hours at a time. But no complaining here. she is getting better and better. Yay!!

Tootsie has been pretty good about the whole situation. She gets a little needy but not like I expected her to. i can't wait until Lexi is big enough they can play. I know tootsie will love it!
